Where We Work
Youth Star Cambodia works in four Cambodian provinces: Kratie, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom and Prey Veng.
In every community, Youth Star volunteers help organize and strengthen youth clubs to tackle gang-delinquency (37 clubs in total) by provide tutoring, mobilize community awareness on issues of health and human rights, promote life-skills education, and take on special projects.
Youth Star's Projects
The Prevention of Gender-based Violence Project.
There is much anecdotal evidence that Youth Volunteers are influencing youths to change to an unexpected degree.
The Community Led Total Sanitation Project.
Youth Star volunteers helped to mobilize 1,400 people in a sanitation project that focused on hand washing, and building and using locally made and affordable latrines.
One Laptop Per Child.
Youth Star interns help to implement the One Laptop Per Child project in schools in Kratie and Prey Veng provinces.
